The "Four Weddings and a Funeral" star recently shared her battle with piriformis syndrome, a condition that compresses the sciatic nerve, causing pain and inflammation down the legs. During an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, Andie described the intense pain that once shot down her leg, leading her to worry that she might need a hip replacement.
"My body just wasn’t handling it well," the 66-year-old actress recalled. "I thought I was literally falling apart." The situation worsened after she began riding her indoor bike vigorously, which led to knee and hip issues.
However, Andie was fortunate enough to avoid surgery. She now works out her hips and bottom every day to keep flare-ups at bay and prevent further pain. "It’s a miracle," she said of her treatment, adding, "the good news is my pieces are fine."

While her knees have aged, Andie’s dedication to her daily routine has helped her maintain a better quality of life. Beyond her physical changes, she has also embraced a quieter lifestyle. Having traded the hustle of Hollywood for a more peaceful life in South Carolina, she feels a renewed sense of happiness.
"Once my kids left, I felt this huge void in my life because they were so important to me," Andie explained. "Margaret was telling me I should be having the time of my life, but I wasn’t."
Now, living in a new environment, Andie feels more content than ever. "I’m having the time of my life now," she shared, expressing how her new chapter is bringing her joy.
