The National Channa Prime League 2026 is a premier ornamental fish competition dedicated to showcasing and elevating the quality of Channa (snakehead fish) keeping and breeding in Malaysia. The programme brings together hobbyists, breeders, traders, and industry enthusiasts from both local and international communities to compete, exhibit, and exchange knowledge on high-quality fish keeping practices. The event serves as a platform to promote the ornamental fish industry as a growing economic sector, while encouraging responsible fishkeeping, biosecurity awareness, and sustainable aquatic practices. It also aims to strengthen community engagement within the aquaculture hobbyist industry and provide exposure to new innovations, breeding techniques, and market opportunities. The competition will feature participants from various international and regional communities, making it a significant gathering within the ornamental fish industry. The programme also includes educational exhibitions, awareness booths, and industry sharing sessions, aimed at promoting knowledge exchange, responsible fishkeeping practices, and greater awareness of biosecurity and sustainable aquatic management.
