A new research done at the Pennsylvania State University has discovered that mushrooms are, “without a doubt”, the best food to prevent aging.

The researchers tested 13 species of mushrooms, and discovered that while all of them contained two antioxidants that are related to anti-aging, some contained significantly more than others. The highest concentration of the antioxidants was found in the wild porcini mushroom.

The researchers also discovered that the antioxidants appear to be heat-stable; cooking the mushrooms does not cause them to lose the antioxidants.
