Selangor have been crowned overall champions of the just-concluded SUKMA Games.

The hosts collected 101 gold, 73 silver and 71 bronze medals over 10 days of competition.

The Federal Territories finished in second place, while Terengganu was third in the medal standings.

Meanwhile, Selangor swimmer Eliza Tan was named best female athlete with a personal haul of seven gold medals.

Pahang shooter Chean Zen Hong won a total of nine golds, to be named best male athlete.
