Portugal have picked up their first win at the football festival in North America with a 5-0 thrashing of Uzbekistan in Group K.

Cristiano Ronaldo was on the scoresheet with two goals – becoming the first player in history to score in six editions of the tournament.

At 41, Ronaldo is also the second-oldest player to score at the tournament.

Another match this morning saw England play out a disappointing goalless draw with Ghana in Group L.

While Croatia defeated Panama 1-0.

France coach Didier Deschamps will miss their final group tie against Norway after being given permission to return home following the death of his mother.

Football’s governing body has confirmed that US president Donald Trump will attend the final, and will help present the trophy to the winners.
