Mexico Advance To The Knockout Round

Mexico are the first nation to qualify for the knockout round of the football festival in North America. 

The co-hosts booked their place thanks to a 1-0 Group A victory over South Korea earlier today. 

Despite the defeat, the Koreans still stand a good chance of making the last-32, thanks to their opening day win over the Czech Republic.

In other results earlier today Canada thrashed Qatar 6-0…the Czech Republic and South Africa drew 1-1…while Switzerland trounced Bosnia-Herzegovina 4-1.

Real Madrid are reportedly eyeing a move for Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez. 

The Spanish giants have already signed Marc Cucurella, Bernardo Silva and Ibrahima Konate amid a squad overhaul under new boss Jose Mourinho.
