Mbappe Sends France Into The Last-16

France have cruised into the last-16 of the football festival in North America after a comfortable 3-0 win over Sweden this morning.

Kylian Mbappe scored two of the goals to bring his tally in the tournament so far to six, leaving him level with Argentina’s Lionel Messi in the race for the Golden Boot.

France will next face Paraguay for a place in the quarterfinals.

This morning’s other match saw Erling Haaland score the winner four minutes from time to give Norway a 2-1 win over Ivory Coast.

Next up for the Norwegians is a last-16 clash with Brazil.

Ronald Koeman has resigned as Netherlands boss, following their penalty shootout defeat to Morocco.

He also hinted that he may retire from management altogether.
