Germany Reach The Knockouts!

Germany have booked their spot in the knockout round of the Football Festival in North America, after posting a 2-1 comeback win against Ivory Coast.

It’s the first time that they've advanced past the group stage since 2014!

Ivory Coast went ahead in the first half thanks to veteran Franck Kessie, before German substitute Deniz Undav scored a brace, including a dramatic 94th-minute winner.

The Germans are at the top of Group E with two straight wins.

Meanwhile, Ivory Coast are second, and could book their spot in the last-32 with a win against Curacao on Friday morning.

Speaking of which, Curacao have picked up their first-ever point in the competition, after the Caribbean nation held Ecuador to a goalless draw this morning.

Also, the Netherlands are on the verge of reaching the last-32 with a convincing 5-1 win against Sweden in Group F.

The Netherlands top the group on 4 points, one point ahead of Sweden.

Meanwhile, England have received a boost ahead of their Group L clash against Ghana, after Marcus Rashford and Declan Rice returned to full training.

Rice had to be substituted in their win against Croatia, while Rashford complained of muscle discomfort earlier in the week.

National squash star S. Sivasangari has finished as runner-up at the PSA Squash Tour Finals in Paris.

The 27-year-old, who was making her first appearance in the season-ending competition, was beaten 3-1 in the final by Egypt’s World no. 1 Hania El Hammamy.

It was Malaysia’s best achievement in the Tour Finals since Datuk Nicol David reached the finale in 2012.
