Special Olympics Malaysia team will be participating at the Special Olympics World Games in Berlin this year mid-June. U Mobile will be the main sponsor for the World Games and SOM will be sending 39 delegates to the World Games consisting of 22 athletes (16 intellectual disabilities athletes, 6 Unified partners) 12 coaches, 4 officials, and 1 healthcare professional. Special Olympics is distinctively different from Paralympics as it’s specifically for the intellectually disabled and not athletes with physical disability.
