US & Iran Agree To Peace Deal

The US and Iran have reportedly reached a peace deal to end all hostilities between the two countries.

There are no confirmed details at this point, but the deal is believed to involve a permanent ceasefire on all fronts, including in Lebanon…a US commitment not to interfere in Iran’s affairs…and a reopening of the Strait of Hormuz within 30 days.

The deal is expected to be officially signed this Friday.

The Met Department has stepped up its engagement with the government and public…to keep everyone up to date about the El Nino phenomenon.

The agency has held more than 70 briefings over the past month…involving parties like the Economy Ministry, the Agriculture Department and even the National Economic Action Council.

This, as El Nino is forecast to bring more hot and dry weather and the possibility of haze that’s expected to continue until early next year.

The driver of the trailer that was involved in a fatal accident along the Karak highway yesterday, has tested positive for drugs.

Police say tests have confirmed that the suspect had consumed methamphetamine prior to the crash, that claimed the lives of four people.

This comes after initial police investigations showed that the suspect had 15 traffic summonses.

The Social Welfare Department’s portal shows just over 90 people have been forced to seek shelter due to flooding in the districts of Larut, Matang and Selama as well as Manjung in Perak.

The remaining blocks of the Highland Towers condo are expected to be demolished by the end of the year, after a magistrate court allowed the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council to proceed with the long-delayed plan.
