Syed Saddiq Remains A Free Man

The Federal Court, in a split decision, has upheld Syed Saddiq’s acquittal on corruption and money laundering charges.

Two of the three justices on the panel dismissed the prosecution’s appeal, ruling that the Court of Appeal had correctly overturned the Muar MP’s convictions, and there was no reason for further intervention.

Syed Saddiq was earlier accused of misappropriation and money laundering involving funds from Bersatu’s Youth wing.

He had been convicted by the High Court…but later acquitted by the Court of Appeal.
