Register Your Kids!

It is an obligation to register your child's birth.

The Home Ministry urged parents to be more responsible and aware of birth registration.

It explained that failure to do so, or even late registration can lead to future documentation complications.

The ministry assured that late birth registration statistics are declining.

However, the annual figures still remain significant with over ten thousand cases recorded last year.

Investigations found that factors contributing to such figures include unregistered marriages and social issues.

Birth registration in the Peninsular must be completed within 60 days while registration in Sabah and Sarawak must be completed in 40 days.
