No Home-based Teaching and Learning

There are no plans to re-introduce home-based teaching and learning for government schools.

This, despite the civil service currently looking at ways to cut operational costs amid the global energy crisis.

The Education Minister explains that remote lessons can have a significant negative impact on students and the learning process, as was seen during the Covid pandemic.

This is why she says in-person classes will continue as usual.

The government has spoken to airlines to increase domestic flight capacity ahead of Hari Raya. 

This is to ensure there are sufficient places to accommodate the expected surge in demand during the Balik Kampung exodus.

The Transport Ministry also says there’ve been no domestic flights cancelled as a result of the West Asian conflict, saying all cancelations so far only involve at-risk overseas routes.
