MOH Flags Spike In Dengue Cases

There’s been an over 50 percent spike in dengue cases nationwide compared to last year.

The Health Ministry says more than 58 thousand cases were reported up to August 15th.

It also warns that while the initial clusters were centered in the Klang Valley, its starting to see an upward trend in infections in several other states.

This is partly due to the weather, where the cycle of rain and intense heat is creating ideal breeding grounds for Aedes mosquitos.
