As many as 50 Malaysian nationals are uncontactable, following the massive landslide and flash flood at the Nepal-Tibet border.
Our Embassy in Kathmandu says its currently working closely with local authorities to gather more information about our citizens.
This, as the death toll from the flooding and landslide rose to at least 160…with hundreds others still missing.
Initial reports had suggested the landslide may have been triggered by an earthquake.
However, the US Geological Survey says there was no indication of a tremor at the location.

At last look…five areas nationwide are currently recording unhealthy API readings.
They are Samarahan, Serian and Sri Aman in Sarawak…Cheras in KL and Johan Setia, Selangor.
A further 58 locations around the country are currently experiencing moderate air quality levels.
