Steps Taken To Keep Balik Kampung Motorists Safe

The Malaysian Highway Authority is stepping up measures to ensure a smooth and safe journey for motorists during the Balik Kampung rush.

This includes the deployment of emergency response teams along 12 strategic locations nationwide, in collaboration with the JPJ, Bomba and police. 

The authority will also have more than 800 CCTV cameras in operation along various stretches of highway to monitor the latest traffic conditions.

Meanwhile, the Transport Ministry is reminding that the heavy vehicle ban for the balik kampung rush will be enforced today and tomorrow as well as on the 28th and 29th.

The government has kept price of subsidized RON95 under the Budi95 scheme unchanged, despite the surge in global oil prices.

However… RON97 is up by 70 per liter while diesel will cost 80 sen per liter more for the coming week.

The government is no longer carrying out evacuation flights for Malaysians looking to leave the middle east conflict zone.

The National Security Council says our citizens who want to return are now advised to book commercial flights, since the airspace over most countries in the region has reopened.
