BUDI95 Monthly Quota Adjusted

The government has adjusted the monthly allocation for individuals under Budi95 to 200 liters.

The price of subsidized RON95, however, will be maintained at 1.99 per liter.

The Prime Minister says this will start on April 1stand is to help cushion the impact of rising global oil prices as a result of the Iran war.

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim explains that the decision was made after taking into account the usage patterns of average Malaysians, who typically use only around 100 liters of petrol a month.

Meanwhile the 800 liter allocation for qualified e-hailing drivers will be maintained. 

While Sabah and Sarawak will continue receiving subsidized diesel at 2.15 per liter.

Speaking of Budi 95, JPJ is warning that those whose drivers licenses have expired for more than 36 months will not qualify for the subsidy.

Its reminding all motorists to renew their licenses and keep them active, in order to receive the fuel benefit.

Civil servants will be allowed to work from home on a phased and selective basis, as part of broader measures to bring costs down amid higher fuel prices.

The Prime Minister has also urged the private sector to follow suit.

A total of seven localities are now under a Level 2 heatwave warning with expected temperatures of between 37-40 degrees Celcius for three consecutive days.

The areas are Perlis, Hulu Perak in Perak, as well as Kota Setar, Sik, Pendang, Baling and Pokok Sena in Kedah.

A further 14 areas across Kedah, Perak, Penang, Pahang and Johor are under the less severe Level 1 heat advisory.
