World Famous Golfer, Tiger Woods won his 5th PGA Masters, to complete one of the sport’s greatest comebacks.
It has been a struggle for the legendary Tiger Woods in the last couple of years.
Just two years ago, his world ranking fell to 1,199, due to numerous injuries and off-course problems. Today, he currently ranks at the 6th spot, thanks to his improving form.
Looking back, here are some key Tiger Woods moments:
In 1997, Woods won his first Masters, becoming the youngest player to win the Augusta National and the youngest major winner since World War Two.
In 2000, he became the 5th player in history to complete the career Grand Slam of the Open, US Open, US PGA Championship and Masters.
In 2001, Tiger Woods completed the “Tiger Slam”, becoming the first golfer to hold all 4 majors simultaneously.
In 2009 and 2010, Woods was found bleeding and semi-conscious after an accident where his car hit a tree and fire hydrant. It was later reported that the legendary golfer had a series of extra-marital affairs, which would cause him his downfall. The next year, Woods and his first wife, Elin Nordegren divorce, ending a 7-year marriage.
In 2019 Tiger Woods had the Eye Of The Tiger, winning his 5th Masters completed one of sport’s greatest comebacks.
