It’s super hard to wake up in the morning, we know. But aren’t you tired of being tired? We have some tips that will make you the morning person you’ve always wished you’d become, but never did because it takes too much effort. Well, good news. It doesn’t.

#1 A Little Exercise Won’t Hurt!

No powerlifting necessary here, but some gentle movements can do wonders to the body and mind. There are plenty of workouts that can be done at home available on the web. Choose one that suits you, and stick to it every morning. Even yoga and light stretching will do the job just fine!

#2 Breakfast For Champs

If you know you have something nutritious and delicious to eat in the morning, the tendency to get out of bed and start your day off right is much higher. Instead of rushing out the door with a slice of toast, allocate a little more time to have a hearty meal before you leave. Adding eggs or salmon can transform the plain old toast, or make yourself a nice bowl of oatmeal porridge with berries and bananas. If you’re short on time, a smoothie can be a quick but healthy on-the-go meal!

#3 Make A Morning Plan

If the force of the bed is too strong to part with, make a morning plan with your buddies to give you an extra push. Alternatively, get up to have breakfast with your partner and share some quality time together before work, or set a date with a colleague to grab some coffee before heading into the office.

#4 You Snooze, You Lose!

According to experts, pressing that snooze button repeatedly doesn’t give you good quality sleep, because you just don’t have the time to fall back into a deep sleep! Instead of dragging out the process of getting up, you might as well just set up a later alarm. It’s going to be a difficult habit to break at first, but your body will thank you. So, get up as soon as you hear the alarm go off!

#5 Let Some Light In

Just as dimming down the lights at night encourages production of the hormone melatonin, which makes us sleepy, exposing ourselves to light in the morning will stop its production, therefore waking us up. As soon as you’re up and about, open the curtain and bask in some of that glorious sun. Even if it’s still dark outside, switch on the lights until sunrise.
