Man United are close to appointing Ralf Rangnik as their interim manager until the end of the season.
He will also serve in a consultancy role for two years after that.
They’ve already agreed personal terms with the ex-RB Leipzig boss, and are now working out the compensation to Lokomotiv Moscow, where he currently serves as head of sports and development.
Rangnik’s first game in charge of United is expected to be Arsenal’s Premier League visit to Old Trafford next week.
Arsene Wenger could be returning to Arsenal.
Current Gunners boss Mikel Arteta says he wants Wenger back at the club in some capacity, and has already spoken to the 72-year-old.
Wenger spent 22 years in charge of the North London side, guiding them to three EPL titles.
He currently works with FIFA as chief of football development.
West Ham have cruised into the last-16 of the Europa League.
They beat Rapid Vienna 2-0 this morning to secure their place as group winners with a game to spare.
Meanwhile, Leicester City went top of their group after their 3-1 win over Legia Warsaw.
The Foxes hold a one point lead over Spartak Moscow and Napoli, heading into the final round of matches.
Elsewhere, Tottenham are in danger of being eliminated from the Europa Conference League after suffering a surprise 2-1 defeat to Slovenian minnows NS Mura.
