French Open delayed due to COVID-19 lockdown
Apr 08, 2021
This year's French tennis Open will be delayed by a week.
Organisers say the Grand Slam event is now scheduled to take place from May 30th to June 13th.
They hope the delay means that more spectators will be allowed to attend matches, as France is currently in a COVID-19 lockdown that is only due to end in the middle of May.
Msia's Olympic athletes to be vaccinated next week
Over 260 athletes and officials who will represent Malaysia at the Tokyo Olympics will receive their COVID-19 vaccines next week.
The Youth and Sports Minister says they are the first recipients, among some 4 thousand athletes and officials who'll be vaccinated under the National Immunisation Programme.
The other recipients could include national footballers, as well as those who are representing the country in ongoing and forthcoming international sporting events.
United want 30m for Lingard
Man United have reportedly slapped a 30 million pound price tag on midfielder Jesse Lingard.
The England international is currently on loan at West Ham, and has played a key role in the Hammers' push for Champions League qualification.
The Hammers are keen on making the move permanent at the end of the season, while Arsenal and Tottenham are also said to be interested.
