Man City extend their lead at the top of the EPL standings

Man City continued their march towards the EPL title with a 2-1 home win over West Ham.

It moves the Citizens a whopping 13 points clear at the top of the table, although they’ve played a game more than second-placed Man United.

City’s victory over the Hammers was also their 20th consecutive win in all competitions.

In other EPL results, West Brom edged past Brighton 1-0
Aston Villa beat Leeds also by a goal to nil.
While Newcastle and Wolves played out a 1-1 draw.
 
Elsewhere, Barcelona overcame Sevilla 2-0 to move to within two points of La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid.

While in the Serie A, Juventus were held to a 1-1 draw by Verona, leaving the defending champions seven points adrift of leaders Inter Milan.

Anfield return for Gerrard?

Liverpool are reportedly considering a move for Steven Gerrard.

The former Reds captain and current Rangers boss is being eyed as a possible replacement for Jurgen Klopp.

It comes amid speculation that Klopp is the overwhelming favourite to take over from Joachim Lowe as the coach of the German national team.

Gerrard, who spent most of his playing career at Anfield, has impressed in his first managerial stint at Rangers…with the club on the verge of winning the Scottish league title.
