nurul izzah bags another gold!

Malaysia’s Nurul Izzah Izzati Mohd Asri has ended her campaign at the Asian Track Cycling Championships with another gold medal! 

This, after she won in the 500-meter time-trial event ahead of her opponents from South Korea and China. 

It brings Nurul Izzah’s tally to four medals at the tournament - two golds, a silver and a bronze in both the individual and team events. 

Overall...the Malaysian contingent returns with two gold, two silver and three bronze medals...to finish third in the standings behind Japan and China.

Still on our athletes, men’s doubles pair Ong Yew Sin/Teo Ee Yi and women’s duo  

Vivian Hoo/Lim Chiew Sien will begin their campaign at the Germany badminton Open today.

Elsewhere, West Ham have defeated Brentford 4 – 2 this morning, for the Hammers first EPL win of 2024.

In other EPL news, Everton have had their punishment for breaching financial regulations reduced from ten points to six...effectively moving them up to 15th in the table!

And Red Bull F1 consultant Dr Helmut Marko says it’s still possible for Sergio Perez to be offered a new contract beyond 2024, even though the Mexican seems to be struggling alongside three-time champion Max Verstappen.
