PSG send Bayern crashing out of the Champions League

Holders Bayern Munich have crashed out of the Champions League.

The German club defeated PSG 1-0 in the second leg of their quarterfinal match this morning, to level the tie 3-3 on aggregate.

However, Bayern exit the tournament on away goals.

PSG will now go on to face the winners of the Man City-Borussia Dortmund quarterfinal tie.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have booked their place in the Champions League semifinals.

The Blues lost 1-0 to Porto in their quarterfinal second leg this morning…but still advance with a 2-1 aggregate victory.

This is the first time since 2014 that Chelsea are thru to the last four – and they will next take on either Real Madrid or Liverpool.

Former Chelsea and Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri has reportedly been identified as a potential replacement for Jose Mourinho at Tottenham.

This, as Mourinho comes under increasing pressure at Spurs following a run of poor results.

Meanwhile, separate reports say Harry Kane wants to remain in the Premier League if he leaves Tottenham this summer.

The striker is believed to favour a move to either Man United or Man City.

Lee Zii Jia’s coach says the All England champion was not among the national athletes who received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine yesterday.

Zii Jia apparently had to reschedule his appointment due to illness.
