Nuno Espirito Santo has been sacked as Tottenham manager just four months into the job after a dismal EPL season.

This means Spurs are looking for a fourth permanent manager in just three years.

Former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is reportedly a favourite to succeed Santo, while ex-Roma boss Paolo Fonseca and Porto manager Sergio Conceicao have also been linked with the job.

The former Chelsea boss is said to be in high demand and has been tipped to succeed United’s Ole Gunnar Solksjaer and Spurs’ Nuno Espirito Santo.

Lionel Messi is “hurt” by comments from Barcelona’s president saying the six-time Ballon d’Or winner could have offered to play for free, if he had really wanted to stay at Barca.

Messi said he did everything possible to stay with the Catalan giants and even willingly took a 50% pay cut, but clarified the club never suggested the option of playing for free.

Messi left cash-strapped Barca for PSG this Summer after 21-years with the club.
