Naomi Osaka says she hopes to learn some valuable lessons from this morning's shock exit at the Miami tennis Open, as she prepares for the upcoming clay court season.

The world no.2 was beaten 6-0, 6-4 by Maria Sakkari in the quarter finals, which ended a 23-match winning streak.

Osaka's last defeat was at the qualifiers for the Billie Jean King Cup in February last year.
