No disciplinary action has been taken yet, against unvaccinated civil servants.

The PM's Department says due process must be observed before authorities can take action.

It noted that nearly 29,000 civil servants have yet to take the shot.

Earlier, the Public Service Department said civil servants must complete their vaccinations before November 1st.

Around 40% of recipients fail to turn up for their COVID-19 booster shot appointments.

Because of this, the Health Minister has reminded such recipients to get the jab immediately.

Khairy Jamaluddin reiterated that the third dose will boost recipients' immunity against the coronavirus.

Meanwhile, the Health Ministry detected another rise in new COVID cases at 6,243 today.

PM’s Dept: Govt will not hesitate to limit social activities

The PM’s Department says the government has no plans to draw up new COVID SOPs.

However, it warned that authorities will not hesitate to limit social activities, IF there is a rise in cases after we enter the endemic phase.

This, amid concerns of a possible spike in infections due to SOP complacency.
