Nov 08, 2021

no physical campaigns during melaka polls

No physical campaigns, public speeches, and talks are allowed during the Melaka state election.

The Election Commission chairman says it's a precaution against COVID-19.

Meanwhile, he says parties are allowed to put up banners and buntings, as well as distribute pamphlets into residents' post boxes.

Such activities are limited to groups of three.

Datuk Abdul Ghani Salleh adds that voters need not worry about casting their votes amid the pandemic.

He assured that strict SOPs will be enforced throughout the polls.

112 candidates are eligible to contest in the Melaka state election this month.
