5 more states to enter Phase 4 on Monday

Perlis, Perak, Penang, Kedah and Sabah will enter Phase 4 of the National Recovery Plan on Monday.

This will leave only Kelantan and Sarawak in Phase 3.

All other states and territories are already in the final phase.

Malaysia reported a slight drop in Covid-19 cases yesterday, with 4,922 infections.

Majority of the cases were either asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic.

Police have rejected claims that a food distribution initiative was used for vote-fishing ahead of the Melaka state election.

Cops say according to investigations, the food aid, which comes with RM50 cash, was merely given to senior citizens adding that it was not carried out in Melaka.
