don't spread fake covid-19 vaccine news, or face stern action

Social media users have been reminded not to spread fake news about the COVID-19 vaccine, as they will face stern action under the law.

The Health Ministry says this also applies to any misinformation about the National Immunisation Program, as it could jeopardize public confidence.

This follows several fake reports recently, alleging individuals died due to the vaccine.

Private hospitals will soon help the government register people for the National COVID-19 Immunisation Program.

This comes after the Health Ministry said vaccine registration numbers are still low, at around 8 million nationwide.
