70% of Malaysia's AIDS and HIV cases transmitted by heterosexual relationships

At least 70% of AIDS and HIV positive cases in Malaysia are transmitted through heterosexual relationships, mainly through sex work.
The Health Ministry says previously, the biggest cause of AIDS cases used to be intraveneous drug users.
Now, men visiting female sex workers, contracting the disease and spreading it to their wives and partners, is the main method of transmission.
