Special police task force set up over shooting cases

The police have set up a special task force to look into the sharp increase of shooting cases in the country.

The IGP says the recent cases are not "random shootings", but rather by perpetrators with their own specific motives.

In the past 3 weeks, Miri PKR secretary Bill Kayong was gunned down at a traffic light junction, a mother was shot dead while she was driving with her kids in Taman OUG, KL, and a man was shot 6 times in his car by motorcyclists along the KL-Seremban highway, although he miraculously survived.
