BN retains Sungai Besar and Kuala Kangsar parliamentary seats

BN has retained both the Sungai Besar and Kuala Kangsar parliamentary seats with higher majorities, following yesterday's poling for the by-elections.

In Sungai Besar, BN won with a majority of over 9,000 in a 3-way competition with PAS and Amanah, following a voter turnout of over 31,000, while over in Kuala Kangsar, BN won with a majority of slightly under 7,000 in a 4-way competition, with the 4th being an independent candidate, after some 23,500 voters cast their ballots.
