The government is setting up a committee on how to deal with the effects of the impending heat wave.

The Natural Resources and Environment Ministry says the committee will also include agencies including the Education and Energy ministries, as well as the Met Department.

Officials had forecast a heat wave to hit Malaysia by next week.
