Consultive Committee wants to ban political donations from foreign interests

The National Consultive Committee on Political Funding wants to ban political donations from foreign interests to political parties and individual candidates.
The proposal is to prevent foreign influence on local politics as well as to protect the country's sovereignty.
It also suggested for any political donations made by local companies or individuals exceeding RM1,000 to be declared.
