Jul 03, 2016

There were no Malaysians casualties in the hostage crisis in the Bangladeshi capital, Dhaka, which killed 20 people.

Wisma Putra says there are 200 Malaysians in the city, and many have returned home to celebrate Hari Raya.

Meanwhiile, Bangladesh declared two days of national mourning, for those killed in the militant attack, which targeted a cafe popular with foreigners.

9 Italians, 7 Japanese, 1 US citizen and an Indian national were among the dead while another Italian is still unaccounted for.

This, as Bangladeshi police confirmed that all 7 attackers were locals, but declined to comment if they were linked to the IS militant group.
