JPJ: See you in court

Jun 29, 2016

Motorists caught breaking major traffic rules during the Raya period may be hauled straight to court.

The JPJ's enforcement director says it's considering this for 5 offences, namely using mobile phones while driving, cutting queues, running red lights, overtaking at double lines and lane-hogging.

A decision on this will be made in the next few days.

Meeanwhile, the JPJ is also placing undercover officers on express buses during Ops Raya, and they will issue drivers with on the spot summonses for offences including speeding.
