11 websites and 22 URL linked to IS blocked

11 websites and 22 URL links involved in the propagation of IS ideology in the Malay language, have been blocked.

The Ministry of Communications and Multimedia says the action was taken following MCMC's monitoring of new media outlets.

It's minister says continuous monitoring and action by MCMC and other agencies will contain the spread of the IS ideology through social media.

Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak also urged the public to report to the MCMC if they have any information on such social media sites.
