Fire and Rescue Department will set up fire points in every state

The Fire and Rescue Dept will set up fire points in big cities and public spots in every state to cut down response time in the event of a fire in the area.

A team of fire fighters and a fire engine equipped with rescue and fire fighting equipment
would be mobilised at the fire point. 

The depatment says it has issued instructions to identify suitable locations to set up the fire points.

The fire point would operate daily from 8 am to 8 pm with a staff strength of at least eight people.
