Call to impose stricter entry requirements for medical courses
Mar 15, 2016
The Malaysian Medical Council has called on the Higher Education Ministry to impose stricter entry requirements for medical courses.
It is also looking into making graduates from foreign medical schools sit for a licensing exam before they are granted registration in the country.
This will ensure that all medical practitioners who wish to practice in the country meet a certain standard.
This, amid reports of poor performance among graduates from some medical schools overseas.
