MTUC welcomes govt's decision to stop foreign worker recruitment

The Malaysian Trades Union Congress has welcomed the government's decision to stop the recruitment of foreign workers.

It hopes the decision will be strictly enforced, to help reduce the country's reliance and dependence on foreign workers.

The government announced the halt to recruitment recently, and scrapped plans to bring in over a million Bangladeshi workers.
