Heat wave causing high electricity usage in Peninsular

Mar 11, 2016

The current heat wave has led to electricity usage in the Peninsular hitting an all-time high.

TNB says while it can handle the load, consumers are advised to use electricity efficiently, especially during the peak hours of between 2 and 5pm.

For households, this includes setting air-conditioning at between 23 to 25 degrees celcius.

Any boiling of water should also be done during off-peak hours, while washing clothes and ironing should be done at night.
