Temperatures appear to be easing, with only 10 areas nationwide currently under a level-one heat alert.

This includes Perlis…six areas in Kedah…one in Kelantan and two in Sarawak…which can expect daily temperatures of up to 37 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, data from the Department of Environment shows no areas with unhealthy air quality levels nationwide as at early this morning.

Universiti Malaya is the country’s most represented higher learning institution on the latest QS World University Rankings by subject.

It had 38 of its subjects ranked…including 21 that made it into the top 100.

More than 1,600 traffic accidents were reported around the country on Tuesday.

PDRM says this involved 18 fatal cases.

The cops also reminded motorists to be on their best behavior on the road over the festive period.

Separately, a 21-year-old lorry driver who was high on drugs has been arrested by the cops in Negeri Sembilan, after evading a police roadblock and taking authorities on a 50km chase.
