More CNY Buses, Trains and Planes

Jan 12, 2024

more cny buses, trains and planes

Additional flight, train and bus services will be introduced for people during the Chinese New Year festive period.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke says among others, a domestic airline has agreed to offer additional flights between KL and Sibu, Sarawak on the 6th and 7th of February.

This is after economy class tickets to Sibu for three days before Chinese New Year were completely sold out.

Meanwhile for travelers heading up north, 6 additional ETS train services will be provided, for the KL Sentral-Ipoh, and KL Sentral-Padang Besar routes.

Loke says two of the services between KL and Ipoh will be express trains, meaning they will only stop at the KL Sentral, KL and Ipoh stations.

Tickets for these additional train services will go on sale on Monday, starting 12PM.

Also, the Land Public Transport Agency will open applications for Temporary Change Permits.

This will allow buses of other categories to provide transportation services for passengers returning home during the festive period.
