Police in Kedah have arrested a man who allegedly damaged a car, while his wife and children were in the vehicle.

Cops say the suspect told the victim to roll down her windows to pass her some money. However, the man pulled the window off in a sudden fit of rage.

A video of the incident went viral on social media.

Amendments to Act 342 needed to punish repeat offenders

The Health Ministry says its proposed amendments to raise the maximum compounds for COVID SOP violations are necessary.

Its Minister Khairy Jamaluddin says stiffer penalties are needed as some companies are repeat offenders that have triggered clusters.

If the bill is passed, those who flout SOPs would be subject to a fine of up to RM10,000 while companies that do the same face up to a whopping RM1 million compound.

Study finds 13% of KL women and girls face period poverty

A study has found that around 13% of women and teenage girls in KL can’t afford to purchase sanitary pads.

The Women, Family, and Community Development Ministry says the study involved those from the low-income group.

Because of this, it has taken several measures to combat the issue, including distributing hygiene kits to some 130,000 teenagers.
