Some 5.8 million new voters are expected to be added to the electoral roll, with the implementation of Undi-18.

The PM’s Department says this translates to an increase of around 40 percent from the current number of registered voters – which stands at 15.8 million.

It also expects the number of eligible voters to increase every month – when Undi-18 is carried out together with automatic voter registration.
