The Vaccinated Travel Lane between Malaysia and SIngapore will cover both land and air transport, when it opens on Monday. 
This, after the the government announced the Land VTL scheme, which will allow fully-vaccinated citizens and permanent residents to travel between the two countries without quarantine. 
However, they will be subjected to Covid-19 testing. 
For now, VTL-Land will be limited by bus, with an initial daily limit of 1,500 travelers. 
Travelers to Singapore will board their buses at the Larkin Sentral Terminal
PM Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says besides workers, VTL-Land will also allow Malaysians and Singaporeans on both sides of the Causeway to reunite with their families. 

EC Sets Key Dates for Sarawak Election

The Election Commission is targeting a 70% voter turnout for the Sarawak state election. 
It's chairman says polling day for the Sarawak election has been set for December 18th. 
Nomination day will fall on December 6th, while early voting takes place on the 14th.
Datuk Abdul Ghani Salleh adds that some 1.2 million voters are eligible to cast their ballots. 
He adds that authorities are still fine-tuning the COVID-19 SOPs for the election period. 
Meanwhile, a group of civil society organisations in Sarawak have urged authorities to announce the SOPs as soon as possible. 
It also wants political gatherings and public talks to be allowed.. but under strict guidelines.

Covid Cases Rose Again

Daily COVID-19 cases crossed the 5 thousand mark for a second day in a row today. 
The Health Director General says new cases rose by 160, to 5,755. 
Meanwhie, nearly 120 thousand COVID019 booster shots were administered yesterday.
According to the CovidNow Portal, this accounts for 88% of all vaccine doses that were given out. 
So far, just over 52 million vaccine doses have been given out under the National Immunisation Programme.
