Foreign nationals who blatantly ignore COVID-19 SOPs could be deported, and barred from ever returning to Malaysia. 

The Immigration Department says it won't hesitate to take such action. 

This, following a viral photo of a foreigner walking around the KLCC park without wearing a face mask.

The incident comes a month after another foreigner went viral for not wearing a mask at 2 malls in KL.

Perikatan Nasional has named Bersatu's Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin as its candidate for Melaka chief minister, if the coalition wins the state election on Saturday. 

The coalition says this makes her the first woman to be named as a candidate for the state’s top post.

Melaka declares holiday for state election

Melaka has declared Saturday, November 20th a public holiday, in conjunction with the state election.

It's to allow as many people as possible to cast their ballots.

The Election Commission says 476 thousand eligible voters are expected to vote on polling day.
