The Malaysian Employers Federation says the initiatives under Budget 2022 are a step in the right direction to accelerate economic recovery.

It was referring to the allocation of almost RM5 billion to create 600,000 jobs.

It is also looking forward to the government's plans to boost training and upskilling programs for trainees.

The National Union of the Teaching Profession has hailed the special cash aid for teachers under Budget 2022.

It says the assistance is recognition for educators who worked hard to ensure the success of online lessons amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Yesterday, the Finance Minister announced that teachers will be given a one-off cash aid worth 100 ringgit.

COVID vaccine not cause of nurse death

Allegations that a nurse in Selangor had died due to the COVID-19 vaccine are not true.

The state’s Health Department says the deceased, who was a cancer patient, died after testing positive for the coronavirus.

This follows a video which went viral on social media.
