The second phase of the National COVID-19 Immunisation program will include several new groups.

The program’s coordinating minister Khairy Jamaluddin says it’s because the number of second phase registrations is still low.

However, he has assured that the elderly and those in high-risk groups will remain a priority during the upcoming phase.

The new groups will be announced next week, along with the starting date for Phase Two.

Over 1,300 new COVID-19 cases

Malaysia reported 1,360 new COVID-19 cases today.

Selangor recorded the highest number of infections at 356, followed by Sarawak, and Johor.

Putrajaya, Labuan, and Terengganu recorded single digit cases, while Perlis had none.

Meanwhile, two patients succumbed to the virus, raising the death toll to 1,248.

SUKE Expressway accident investigations to be completed in one month

Investigations into the recent accident along the SUKE Expressway near Cheras, is expected to be completed within a month.

The Department of Occupational Safety and Health says further legal action will be taken based on the results of the detailed probe.

Three people were killed while a road user was seriously injured after a crane fell on top of a car.
